East Campus Village Master Plan
University of Georgia
Master Planning
Athens, GA | 53,000 SF
Planning for improved housing called for a progressively effective master plan that encompassed the surrounding green spaces, future housing, parking and dining.
A master plan for the University’s entire east precinct set the stage for the design and construction of the East Campus Village, a community of five apartment-style residence halls that add approximately 1,200 beds. Designed to form “living / learning communities,” the project includes private bedroom suites with staff apartments, program / activity spaces, meeting spaces, laundry facilities, administration offices and mail services.
Noteworthy: The master plan included a vision for the East Campus Commons, home to one of UGA’s award-winning commons / dining halls.
