The new Murray Athletic Center at The Lovett School recently completed its final construction review and has achieved LEED Gold certification.

In 2005, members of The Lovett School community launched a strategic plan, coined Our Defining Decade, to further express the vision. Through this campaign came the recognition to provide a state-of-the-art athletic facility that can fully support the physical education and competitive sports needs of the school. The design team worked with The Lovett School to transform its athletic experience and supplement the shortage of athletic facilities for physical education, practice and competition and locker facility shortage with the addition of three vast improvements, one of which being the new Murray Athletic Center (MAC).

“The new Murray Athletic Center [ gives ] our student-athletes the strength and conditioning resources that they deserve, enhancing their ability to train and perform in Lovett’s competitive sports environment.” – Steve Franks, Director of Athletics
